(Authentic Serbian dish; pickled cabbage leaves stuffed with a mixture of fresh minced meat, rice, various spices and herbs, and slowly cooked for a few hours) 

Fun Fact: The Ottoman Empire left significant mark in the historical and cultural development of Serbia, and sarma is one of the dishes that is still very popular and often cooked in homes around the Balkans. sarma comes from the Turkish word sarmak which means to wrap.
